Common
questions.
Basic swimming ability is required. You'll always be in shallow beach break conditions and never far from shore, but being comfortable in the water makes the experience much better.
Minimum age is 6 years old. Kids take to surfing quickly and we have plenty of experience teaching younger students. Under 18s need parental consent.
Most students stand up on their first session. The goal of Day 1 is to get you on your feet and riding whitewater — which is very achievable with proper instruction and the right board.
Classes run in morning or afternoon slots depending on the tides and swell. We send final confirmation by 6pm the evening before with the exact time and pickup point.
We check conditions daily and choose the best spot. If conditions are genuinely too bad to run the session safely, we reschedule. If you can't make the new date, we refund the missed class.
Just sunscreen and water. Everything else — board, wetsuit, boots, leash — is included. Wear a swimsuit under the wetsuit.
