How Siel
started.
Edo started teaching watersports at 18 — kitesurf, windsurf, sailing. Years of lessons in different countries, different conditions, different students. The same question always came up: why are most schools content with mediocre results?
Siel was founded in Corralejo in 2023 and became fully operational in 2024. The idea was simple: small groups, proper boat support, honest communication about progress. No overselling courses, no packing students into large groups to maximize revenue.
Fuerteventura has some of the best and most consistent wind in Europe. We chose Corralejo because the conditions are genuinely ideal for learning — reliable wind, open water, and enough space to work properly from the boat. We wanted to build something here worth staying for.
