Siel terms and conditions Kitesurf Camp Stagnone

Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before starting your course. They explain how we work, what to expect, and the rules that help us ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Welcome to Siel Watersports Academy!

We love sharing our passion and experience in kitesurfing, wingfoiling, and surfing. Our goal is to offer you a fun, safe, and unforgettable learning experience in a professional and welcoming environment.

Please take a moment to read and accept the following terms before starting your course.

Terms & Conditions – Kite Camp Sicily (23–30 May)

1. Camp Overview

The Kite Camp Sicily (23–30 May) is organised by Siel Kiteboarding Academy and includes accommodation, kite coaching, transport during the week, full-board meals, airport transfers on arrival and departure days, video coaching, and a boat excursion to the Egadi Islands.

Participants may choose between two pricing options:

  • €1,250 – Bring Your Own Gear

  • €1,600 – Full Equipment Included


2. What’s Included

  • 7 nights accommodation in shared villas near Lo Stagnone

  • Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

  • 5 days of kite coaching

  • Max 2 students per instructor

  • All kite equipment included (if selected in the booking)

  • Video coaching

  • Daily transport to the spot

  • Airport transfers (arrival & departure days only)

  • Boat excursion to the Egadi Islands

  • Safety cover and basic insurance during lessons

  • Grouping by level once on site


3. Payments & Deadlines

3.1 Deposit

A €100 deposit is required to pre-register for the camp.

This deposit is:

  • deducted from the total price, and

  • fully refundable if the camp does not reach the minimum number of participants.

3.2 Minimum number of participants

The camp requires a minimum of 6 participants to be confirmed.

This will be communicated 30 days before the start of the camp.

3.3 Payment schedule

  • Deposit (€100): upon pre-registration

  • 30 days before the camp:

    • If the camp is confirmed, participants must pay 50% of the total price (minus the €100 deposit)

    • Payment made via Stripe link

  • Upon arrival (check-in):

  •  
    • Final balance to be paid on site via card, Stripe link or cash


4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 If the participant cancels

  • More than 45 days before the camp:

    ✔ Full refund of the €100 deposit

 
  • Between 45 and 30 days before the camp:

    ✔ Deposit (€100) is non-refundable

 
  • Between 30 and 15 days before the camp:

     The deposit (€100) is non-refundable

    ✔ The 50% payment made at 30 days is refunded

 
  • Less than 15 days before the camp:

    ❌ The deposit (€100) is non-refundable

    ❌ The 50% payment is non-refundable

 
  • Less than 7 days before the camp:

    ❌ All payments are non-refundable

4.2 If Siel cancels

If the camp cannot be confirmed (minimum not reached), or if Siel must cancel for any organisational reasons:

✔ A full refund of all payments made will be issued.


5. Weather & Conditions Policy

Kitesurfing is a weather-dependent sport.

There are no refunds for lack of wind or unsuitable conditions.

On low-wind days, we will offer alternative activities, including:

  • Advanced theory sessions

  • Video analysis and coaching

  • Dry-land practice

  • Equipment maintenance workshops

  • SUP, bike rides, excursions, or other alternative sports

Whenever possible, we will try to reschedule lessons within the week if conditions allow.


6. Insurance & Safety

The camp includes a basic safety insurance valid during lessons.

Participants are strongly recommended to purchase:

  • Travel insurance

  • Medical insurance

  • Injury insurance appropriate for water sports

All participants must be able to swim confidently.


7. Responsibility & Risks

Kitesurfing involves inherent risks.

By joining the camp, participants agree to:

  • Follow all safety instructions from the instructors

  • Use the provided equipment responsibly

  • Respect group structure and safety procedures

  • Acknowledge the natural risks associated with outdoor sports

Siel Kiteboarding Academy is not responsible for injuries caused by negligence, ignoring safety instructions, or irresponsible behaviour.


8. Use of Images

By participating in the camp, participants grant Siel Kiteboarding Academy permission to use photos and videos taken during the week for promotional purposes (website, social media, marketing).

No names or personal data will be used without explicit consent.


9. Data Protection & Privacy

Personal data submitted during the booking process will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Data will only be used for:

  • Camp organisation

  • Safety and logistics

  • Necessary communication with participants

For marketing purposes (newsletter, updates, offers), participants must opt in separately.


 

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Spanish law (Canary Islands jurisdiction).
