Looking for freedom, adrenaline, and the ultimate kitesurfing experience? Our Downwind Sessions are designed for independent riders who want to enjoy wild and spacious conditions in total safety. You’ll be supported by our team and boat at all times, so you can focus on the ride.
How it works
You don’t have to worry about anything, just take the kite and ride.
- Join our team and students on the boat.
- We set up your kite and launch you from the water.
- Ride freely around the group for 1.5 h in amazing conditions.
- Always supervised by Siel instructors with a boat nearby.
- At the end, we pick you and your gear up and return to shore.

Do I need to be an indepentent rider?
Yes, downwinds are for riders who can ride upwind, waterstart consistently, and control the kite independently.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No, all equipment is included (kite, board, wetsuit, harness).
What if there’s no wind?
We always have backup activities: SUP, surf, theory, or reschedule sessions. If you have to leave the island then you will be refounded.
Is it safe?
Yes, we follow IKO standards, work in small groups, and use boat support for extra safety.
How long is each lesson?
About 1.5 h of riding, within a 3–4 h outing including setup, briefing, and return.
What time do the lessons take place?
We normally run lessons in the morning or early afternoon, choosing the best time of the day according to wind and tides. The exact schedule is confirmed daily to make sure you Kite in the most suitable conditions.
What languages do you teach in?
Our main teaching language is English, but our team also speaks Spanish, Italian, and French. We adapt the lessons so everyone feels comfortable and understands clearly.
